The Council
MBANSW is managed by a Council. Councillors are directors of the Association. The Council comprises up to 20 registered Medical Practitioners.
The Council approves requests for financial assistance. It is most unusual for Council members to have any face to face contact with people the MBANSW is assisting. The Council discusses advice of relevant information provided by the Social Worker in order for them to meet their responsibility in making informed decisions about how best to assist. The Councillors are required to keep this information confidential.
